Product Information

I have been asked many times about the paints and inks that I use in my work and for those who ask I want to thank you for your interest.

All of my original paintings, are done with the highest professional watercolors, acrylic paints and inks.  They are on acid free, 140 or 300 lb watercolor paper, artist canvas, or on Yupo.  Yupo. is a 74 lb acid free archival synthetic watercolor paper of 100% Polypropylene
.

Giclee's  (pronounced zhee'-clay)

A limited amount of my work is available as a Giclee', prepared for me by a professional printing company.  A Giclee' is a reproduction process of making fine art prints from a digital camera or scanner using an ink-jet printer.  Each of these prints should be treated the same as a fine art original painting.

Final Preparation

All of my giclee's, ink or acrylic paintings have been treated with a UV-resistant coating.  An isolation varnish and a final varnish are used on my canvas paintings.  Each painting on yupo is protected by a UV-resistant clear acrylic coating.  All paintings that are in a gallery are framed with high quality framing products.  Watercolor, ink, and all matted paintings are done so with acid free matts and have either a UV resistant acrylic face or a conservation glass face.

While each of the products used in my work is archival it is important to note that any fine art in order to preserve and limit damage to the painting should not be displayed in direct sunlight
